One product, not a pipeline plus a SIEM
Collection, a visual pipeline, searchable storage, MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection and incident management ship together, so there is no second platform to buy, integrate and operate.
logrok vs observability pipelines
Observability pipelines collect, shape and route logs to the SIEM or data lake you already run. logrok does the pipeline work too — and keeps storage, search, detection and incident response in the same self-hosted appliance.
Collection, a visual pipeline, searchable storage, MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection and incident management ship together, so there is no second platform to buy, integrate and operate.
The appliance ships hardened to DISA STIG, with FIPS 140-3 validated cryptography at the OS level (NIST CMVP #5482) and no telemetry.
Repetitive patterns are extracted and classified automatically as noise, useful or unclassified. For each one you choose to monitor, tag, route or drop it — at ingest or at the sending host.
Side by side
| Capability | logrok | Observability pipelines |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Collects, routes, stores, searches, detects and tracks incidents | Collects, shapes and routes data to destinations you run separately, such as a SIEM or a data lake |
| Long-term storage and search | Built in: searchable storage with retention, plus daily archive to S3-compatible object storage | Provided by the destination or by a separately sold product; the pipeline itself keeps at most short-term local storage |
| Threat detection and incident management | Built in: detection rules mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, Sigma import, custom rules, and incidents with SLA tracking | Typically left to the SIEM the pipeline routes data to |
| Reducing noise | Patterns are found and classified automatically; you pick an action per pattern, at ingest or at the sending host | Processing steps you configure in the pipeline, such as sampling, dropping or reducing fields |
| Where the management console runs | On your infrastructure — a VM appliance or Kubernetes | Vendor-hosted SaaS or self-managed, at your choice |
Common ground
Both can be deployed and licensed in an air-gapped network. logrok needs no outbound connection at all: offline images and offline license activation.
Both give you a visual view of sources, processing and destinations. In logrok, the topology editor is also where you build and deploy the pipeline, with a versioned, commented history.
Both can point their AI features at a model you host. logrok's AI is off by default and works with Ollama or an OpenAI-compatible gateway, so prompts stay on your network.
