Runs with no internet path
Offline container images and offline license activation. logrok needs no connection to a vendor service to collect, store, search or detect.
logrok vs cloud SIEM platforms
Cloud SIEM platforms run as a service in the vendor's cloud, with collectors on your network relaying data to it. logrok gives you detection, investigation and incident response on infrastructure you control — including networks with no internet path at all.

Collection, storage, detection and investigation all happen on infrastructure you control. Nothing about your environment is sent anywhere.
The appliance ships hardened to DISA STIG, with FIPS 140-3 validated cryptography at the OS level (NIST CMVP #5482) and CAC/PIV smart-card sign-in.
Side by side
| Capability | logrok | Cloud SIEM platforms |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | On your infrastructure — a VM appliance (OVA, QCOW2 or VHDX) or Kubernetes | Primarily as a service in the vendor's cloud |
| Network with no internet path | Supported: offline images, offline license activation, no outbound connection needed | Needs a connection to the vendor cloud; on-premises collectors relay data to it |
| Where your logs are stored | On storage you control | In the vendor's cloud, in the region the workspace or tenant is created in |
| Getting syslog in | Sent straight to the appliance: syslog over TCP, UDP, TLS or RELP, OTLP/gRPC, HTTP webhooks | Typically through a forwarder or collector you run on-premises, which relays it to the cloud |
| AI assistance | Optional and off by default; can run on a self-hosted model so prompts stay on your network | Delivered as part of the vendor's cloud service |
Common ground
Both ship detection rules you can use as they are or adapt. logrok's are mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, and you can import Sigma rules or write your own.
Both take syslog from network devices, servers and security appliances. logrok receives it directly on the appliance rather than through a relay.
Both offer an AI assistant for investigations. logrok's produces a context brief, suggested queries and related ATT&CK techniques for a finding — on the model you choose.
